About us...

Ben started Reil Mountain Confections in 2000, a business specializing in wedding cakes and all occasion cakes and pastries.

In 2004, Ben and Kim opened the Blue Moon Bakery located in Silverthorne.  The Blue Moon has become a Summit County favorite for both locals and visitors due to a focus on high quality, freshly baked products and friendly service.

The Blue Moon is open daily from 7 am to 4 pm offering a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items in addition to the large selection of delicious desserts, pastries and fresh bread.

Owners Ben and Kim Reil have lived in Summit County for twenty years.  Ben is a professional pastry chef educated at the prestigious Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
